Afro Honey - Website

Arho Honey is a subscription-based relationship community platform designed for adults seeking meaningful, long-term connections. The website serves as the primary digital experience where users can create verified profiles, browse potential matches, and connect through expressions of interest, real-time messaging, and video calls. We built a polished, responsive web application that guides users through a smooth onboarding flow from sign-up and identity verification to profile creation and match browsing. The platform supports three membership tiers (Free, Gold, and Platinum), each unlocking progressively more features like unlimited browsing, messaging, video calls, and contact exchange. Key highlights include a real-time chat system powered by WebSockets, a built-in video calling feature, and a trust-focused verification process that includes phone and selfie verification. The payment system integrates both Stripe and PayPal, giving users flexible subscription options. Safety was a top priority. Users can block or report others, and a scam detection system flags suspicious activity automatically. The platform also features community-driven success stories where couples can share how they met. This project also includes a dedicated admin panel for managing users, verifications, reports, and billing analytics, as well as a full-featured mobile app for iOS and Android so users can stay connected on the go. The backend is built on Fastify with PostgreSQL, handling authentication, real-time communication, payment processing, push notifications, and content moderation all designed to scale as the community grows.
