Project Details

We built VRide as a complete vehicle rental marketplace connecting car owners with people who need a ride. Whether someone needs a daily commuter, an intercity trip, or a luxury car for a wedding, VRide handles it all from one app. The platform works for two sides. Renters browse available vehicles, filter by city and type, pick their dates, and book directly through the app. Owners list their cars, set pricing for different durations (6 hours, 12 hours, or full day), and manage incoming requests. Every booking goes through an approval flow the owner reviews the request before confirming. One standout feature is the with-driver or without-driver option. Renters can choose based on their comfort. For weddings and special events, there's a dedicated luxury car section with premium vehicles. Real-time chat lets renters and owners communicate before and during a booking. No need to leave the app or share personal phone numbers. Push notifications keep both parties informed about new requests, confirmations, and messages. We built identity verification into the signup process. Users upload their national ID (CNIC), and the app uses OCR to extract and verify the details. This adds a layer of trust that most rental platforms skip. Location services power the entire booking flow. Renters set pickup and dropoff points on a map, and the app calculates routes and shows nearby vehicles. The backend runs on Google Cloud with both MySQL and MongoDB structured data for bookings and users, flexible storage for messages and vehicle documents. The result is a rental platform that feels as smooth as hailing a ride, but works for longer bookings, premium vehicles, and owner-managed fleets.
