TravelSnap - AI Travel Companion App for iOS and Android

TravelSnap is an AI-powered travel companion app built for iOS and Android a smart navigation and trip planning solution that combines computer vision, voice AI, and real-time mapping into a single seamless experience. Users can simply point their camera at a landmark and the app instantly identifies it, or speak a destination using natural voice commands and watch the route map itself out in real time. The home screen surfaces context-aware suggestions based on the user's current location nearby hotels with live pricing pulled from booking APIs, restaurants sorted by distance and rating, and public transit options with live schedule data. A voice assistant powered by Deepgram AI lets travelers ask questions hands-free while driving or walking "Find me a coffee shop within 200 meters" or "Take me to the nearest metro station" — and the app responds with turn-by-turn directions instantly. We built the entire app using React Native with TypeScript for true cross-platform delivery, integrated Mapbox and Google Maps SDKs for premium route quality and offline-capable map tiles, and used Supabase as the backend for authentication, saved trips, bookmarks, and user preferences. The Points of Interest system lets users save and organize landmarks into custom collections, while AR Navigation overlays directional cues directly onto the camera view for intuitive street-level guidance. The app is fully multi-language, theme-customizable (light/dark/auto), and was delivered end-to-end in under 3 weeks covering core architecture, location intelligence, voice navigation, route mapping engine, points of interest, bookmark system, and AR theming polish. Currently live in production serving travelers globally on both iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
