MecicaNario - Mexican Word Guess Game & Spanish Learning

MecicaNario is a mobile word guessing game built for iOS and Android, celebrating Mexican culture through fun and engaging gameplay. Players guess popular Mexican Spanish words and phrases using a beautifully designed custom animated keyboard, making it both a casual puzzle game and an entertaining way to learn or practice Spanish vocabulary. The core gameplay is structured around progressive levels each one introduces new themed word sets pulled from Mexican slang, regional expressions, food culture, history, and everyday phrases. Players guess letter by letter, earning coins for correct answers and unlocking new word categories as they progress. Stuck on a word? The built-in hint system lets players spend coins to reveal letters or skip to the next challenge. A standout feature is the spin-the-wheel mini-game where players can earn bonus coins, extra hints, and special power-ups. This adds a layer of casino-style excitement to the core word puzzle experience, keeping players engaged across daily sessions. The economy is supported by tasteful in-app purchases for coin packs and a one-time ad-removal option for players who want an ad-free experience. We built the entire app from scratch in 4 weeks including the core game engine, word guessing mechanics, smooth animations, reward systems, player engagement features, UI polish, navigation architecture, settings, and full Apple App Store + Google Play Store submission. Built on React Native with TypeScript and Expo for cross-platform consistency, Node.js for backend logic, and custom-designed animated assets throughout. The result is a polished, culturally rooted Spanish-language word game that competes with international word-puzzle hits while serving the Mexican and Latino gaming audience with authentic content. Currently live on both app stores and growing daily.
